The AIRE Lab’s research helps directly advance three of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs – global goals for a healthier and fairer world):

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being: improving health, function, and quality of life, especially for older adults and people living with neurological conditions.

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: developing and testing new AI and digital technologies for rehabilitation and telehealth.

SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: expanding access to high-quality rehabilitation and digital care for people and communities who face challenges to accessing care.

Her research focuses on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with applications spanning primary care, rehabilitation, and long-term care. This includes innovations in remote health monitoring and AI-driven rehabilitation designed to optimize outcomes and improve system efficiency.
